¡Hola viajer@s! // Hi travellers!
Today I have learned some rules stablished in
different monuments around the world, and let's say they are somewhat... odd. Ones more than others, but judge yourselves.
VATICANO
Maybe the rules of the Holy See are the
best known ones. There are many prohibitions, removing the obvious (use of weapons
or dangerous objects, etc). The only rule to note is that related to
clothing. For men, they have to wear shirts with sleeves, and with no text against the
Church. For women, the main rule is not pronounced necklines.
TAJ MAHAL
Advertising is not well received by the
Supreme Court of India. It is forbidden to display any brand advertising in the
area where the Taj Mahal is located. In 2013, the Miss Universe Olivia Culpo (US) had trouble because she had been photographed with heeled shoes and they showedadvertising. Among other rules, one is not to photograph or make videos during night visits
to the monument.
As you you can imagine, it is forbidden to
climb the pyramid blocks, even you are tempted to do so. What you may not know is
that you can be sentenced to up to 3 years of prison!
We would have to learn to resist temptations, although it seems some Russian photographers did not, and opened a controversial discussion between justice and fun. They published some pictures
from the top of the pyramids and... they may turn out being expensive.
TORRE EIFFEL
Curioso, ¿verdad?
I believe that
few, if not any visitors, have left Paris without a photo of this iconic
monument. The unknown by many is that it is prohibited to capture photos of the
tower at night . Look at the reason... The lighting is
copyrighted! Curious, isn't it?
¡A viajar!
That said, and now you are more informed... Let's travel!
